The recently refurbished room was immaculate and the towels were fabulous. However, towel hooks in the bathroom would have been helpful.

the staff were super friendly and helpful, and the location was nice for visiting durham. also, my room was clean and comfy enough, which was cool. the bar was open late, and we liked hanging out there after a busy day. the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. they had nice decor, making the place feel cozy.
but the bed in our room was creaky and not comfy at all, and the bathroom could use some serious updates – like, it was tiny and had a weak shower. we also had trouble finding a place to eat nearby in the dark, which was kinda stressful.

Family with children in search of a comfy stay
Had a great time during our stay. Staff there were friendly and helpful, we really appreciated that – especially since we had a small toddler with us. The room was comfy and clean, perfect for our family. And the bar? Oh, it was open all the time, so we could chill after a day out.
It wasn't exactly inexpensive, but honestly for what we got, it was still acceptable.

My family enjoyed a night here, though there were minor issues. The room was spacious but could use some updates, like fresh paint. We appreciated the hot shower and comfy beds, making it a good base for exploring Durham. Check for heating beforehand, as ours was off.
